Take your turn bellying up to the antique Brunswick bar built in 1894, ordered from a catalog, shipped from Austria around the horn of Africa to San Francisco, CA, and then to Prescott, AZ on a mule train. A drinking establishment since 1905, and a “pharmacy” during Prohibition, Lyzzards has a storied history. Some even say it’s haunted!
This historic bar is located just a block off Prescott’s historic Whiskey Row and was a perfect match for now owner, Lex Guinn, who purchased the bar after leaving a 40-year career in healthcare administration. In 2008 Lex renovated and expanded the space for his “great mix of clientele” which includes veterans and college students, businessmen and retirees.
Using Evergreen has been nothing but a pleasure on our end. The customers love it. Before, no one knew what was on draft and bottles unless they came down. It’s been a great time savings and is getting our social media jump started.
Lyzzard’s 28 on-tap craft beer selections and 35 bottles are central to keeping customers coming back. Lex’s team originally used a dry-erase board to list their beers. But worried that this looked tacky, Lex asked Bar Manager Adam Mendenhall to find a better option. Adam chose the Evergreen digital menus with social integration. “The customers love it. Before, no one knew what was on draft and bottles unless they came down. It’s been a great time-savings and is getting our social media jump started.” The time savings has allowed Lyzzard’s to rotate their tap selections and promote events through social media and the digital menu. “It’s exceeded our expectations.”
